German Pop Artist KC O’Douwd Releases Emotional Cover of Tina Turner’s Iconic 1984 Hit Record ‘Private Dancer’

This 22 July 2020, German pop/dance artist KC O’Douwd is set to release his soulful new cover of
‘Private Dancer’ – the soft-rock hit made famous by the legendary Tina Turner. Originally written by Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) and released by Tina Turner under her eponymous album ‘Private Dancer’ in 1984, KC O’Douwd has reinterpreted the song as an anthem of empowerment and self-worth. The versatile singer-songwriter says: “My interpretation of ‘Private Dancer’ is about resilience, getting up after being knocked down, and staying true to yourself. Nobody should allow others to have power over them or their actions. It’s about being yourself and treating others with respect.” – KC O’DOUWD Produced by KC O’Douwd, the song’s credits include Mezu (Chrigi, Rafi, Juli, Simon and Gui),
Powe Play Studios, Reto Muggli and Daniel Milert. The accompanying music video was directed by Pjotr Smolenski, with assistance by Michał Gołasiewicz, and features the talented dancer Michał Goral, with styling by Kevin Düringer and Nilay Carisch. The artist also credits Thomas Brand, Pascal Möller, Ivasion, Marko Heinrich, Guido Bernard and his agency.
